ayurveda

Formed by the Sanskrit words Ayur = life and Veda = science, Ayurveda can be translated as the science of life. It is about ancient knowledge practiced for over 5 thousand years in India and that has recently conquered the world. Ayurveda relies on the principle that we are unique beings and that, as such, we react differently to different stimuli. Therefore, there are no magic formulas. The key is to know yourself deeply enough to be able to interpret the body's signals and help it heal itself before imbalances develop into disease. This is why its main strategies are concentrated to promoting health and preventing diseases, more than only treating them. This is why it is not seen as an alternative to official medicine but rather as its ally.  In other words, Ayurveda teaches us to live in harmony with our environment and with ourselves, aiming at a longer, healthier, and happier life.
